Greetings bookish friends!

I was tagged to do the 7 Favorite Things by Olivia from Purely Olivia, who by the way is totally awesome. I technically wasn’t tagged for this, but I asked her if I can do it and she said yes. This is kind of late and should have not procrastinated and posted this earlier, but whatever. Enjoy!

  1. Link back to and thank the person that tagged you. Thanks, Olivia
  2. Link back to and thank the blogger who began the tag. Thank you so much, Beth!

  6. I don’t have all of them

💛Day-Dreaming💛

This one is kind of cheesy, but whatever! Daydreaming is enjoyable and a great way to get good ideas.

You get idea from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time.

The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we’re doing it.

📝Poetry + Writing📝

As many of you already know, I am not only an avid reader, but a writer. One of my favorite types of writing is poetry. Although I rarely write poetry, I think it is beautiful.

🌎Globes🌎

Globes may seem like a random, insignificant household object, but oh boy, you’re wrong. Globes tell the story of the earth. It’s lakes, mountains, oceans, deserts, you name it. It is a tangible display of humanity’s regime on planet earth and a precise graph of existence and space. Wow, I am such an intelligent, observant scholar. You can find the timezone of a certain location in comparison to another. And, one can even see the center of the world.*

Also, it spins.

giphy-downsized2
I find this extremely entertaining.
*Fun Fact: The center of the world is where the Equator and the Prime-Meridian meet, off the coast of West Africa

🌿Plants🌿

Person: Globes and poetry? And now plants? Wow, Katie needs to get out more no offense…

Me: Excuse me? Globes are awesome, poetry is beautifully artistic, and plants are amazing.

Person: *Coughs in spite of all the smoke because oooooof they got roasted so hard by Katie That Bookish Girl herself. Call 911, the world is on fire. 🔥

Just kidding, that wasn’t a roast, but globes, poetry, and plants are superb. First of all, plants are great for maintaining and keeping safe, refreshing, air quality levels in your home. Plants are also decorative and look good on a desk or a table. Not only that, but plants require little attention and care. All that is needed is a small amount of water every day, depending on what type of plant you are purchasing.

giphy-downsized3
Just now realizing that in the paragraph above I sounded like a salesmen at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

I have a houseplant on my desk named Josephine (yes, I name my plants 😂) and I really enjoy having her.

📺The Office📺

This one should be pretty obvious because I used a little bit of foreshadowing expressing my love for The Office a GIF ago.

My favorite character is, without a doubt, Pam Beesely.

Also Jim and Pam are sooooooooo perfect together. Whenever they’re on-screen together, my inner fangirl swoons inside.

I’M RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS?! *Please help me*

As you can tell by the title of this post, I am in a state of desperation.

That is why I need you to help me.

Are you ready?

Can you do that blogosphere?

Please?
Anyone?

Blog Arrow Gold

Greetings, bookish friends!

Now that the slightly over dramatic montage is over, we can get down to business.

I am running out of ideas for blog posts + I need help.

So of course, like any normal fangirl-ish teenage girl with a computer and a book blog would do, I leaned on the blogosphere for support.

If any of you have noticed, I have been taking a mini hiatus. I just moved to a new school this year, and its been taking a while to adjust to my schedule. So I haven’t really had the free time to write a blog post, and academics always come first.

200w_d

I am open to any suggestions that you guys have for me. I will do collabs, book reviews, WISvsWIF specials, and anything bujo/stationary. Or something else I really don’t care.

I’m counting on you.

Top 5 Bookish Struggles (WISvsWIF edition)

Hello! Today I am going to be listing my top 5 bookish struggles that all bookworms can relate too, WISvsWIF edition. (What I Say v.s. What I Feel)

WARNING, SPOILER ALERT: Being a true bookworm is a lot harder that it looks

Blog Arrow Gold

1. When people ask you your favorite book, they expect you to pick just one

giphy-downsized1

What I say: *lists every single book I’ve ever read*

What I feel deeeep down inside: I have tons of favorite books, want to hear all of them and then read them so we can fangirl over them? Cool, great, here they are!

  • Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoinex by J.K. Rowling
  • The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill
  • A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L’engle
  • The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brain Selznick
  • Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson
  • More in counting!

Blog Arrow Gold

2. When people tell you that you ‘read too much’

giphy-downsized2

What I say: *keeps reading, doesn’t make eye contact, but close to tears*

What I feel deeeep down inside: HOW DARE YOU.

Blog Arrow Gold

3. Or when they tell you that they don’t like to read

giphy-downsized2

What I say: *attempts to nod head to indicate that you respect their opnion but ends up making the you’re-a-weirdo-face*

What I feel deeeep down inside: *however a human being feels after eating 10 coachroaches*

(Probably not very good…)

Blog Arrow Gold

4. When a movie based on a book gets everything wrong and you’re just sitting in the audience like

giphy-downsized3

What I say: *chokes on popcorn and spills soda*

What I feel deeeep down inside: *slow claps* That was the best movie ever-except you left out all the important characters, plot twists, and scences. Also, the characters don’t look like how they were described in the books at all. Otherwise, it was fine. Just great.

Blog Arrow Gold

5. When there are no good books left to read

giphy-downsized4

What I say: *Desperately searches bookshelf*

What I feel deeeep down inside: What am I going to do with my life?

Fresh start

Hello, world!

My name is Katie K and I am the author of another blog called The Tweendom Kingdom. I switched blogs becuase I wanted to switch from reviewing children’s novels to YA novels. I blogged on The Tweendom Kingdom for a year until I realized I wanted change. I wanted to try something different and spice things up a bit. I wanted to be involved in more tags and challenges.

Thus, That Bookish Girl was formed!

giphy
Creation

I am going to work hard to be able to post more content. Not just book reviews, but other random stuff.

giphy-downsized
Better that YouTube?

My goal is to post at 3 times a week (2 if I am feeling lazy) on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I will proably only do book reviews 1/3 of the time because they take so long to write and edit.

Thank you for checking out my new blog! Please pick up on where you left off and click that follow button (to be apart of the bookish squad). See you soon!

Keep on Booking,
